Built by someone who's ordered the kibble

Before ValuesCart, founder Steven Thrasher ran a pet shop. He watched shelters stretch every dollar, saw what AmazonSmile's disappearance took from them, and set out to build something better than what was lost: a nonprofit platform where supporters don't just fund the mission — they stock the shelves.

Every new organization gets live onboarding workshops and step-by-step playbooks, led personally — setup, branding, showing supporters what you need, and turning your first deliveries into momentum.

Free forever.

Do supporters pay extra to give this way?

No. Supporters pay the normal price of the items they choose — nothing added. Donors are never charged a fee by ValuesCart.

How do cash donations work?

Our donate button (in development) works like the leading donation platforms, with one twist: you and your donor participate in choosing who covers payment processing. Donation receipts are included at Tier 1 and automated at Tier 2 — and because ValuesCart is itself a nonprofit, we're building toward tax-deductible treatment for giving through the platform (coming soon).

What is VC Smile and how do we qualify?

VC Smile is our AmazonSmile replacement: 0.5% of your members' eligible purchases goes to your organization. It's included in Tier 2, with eligibility beginning at 100 member purchases per month (Amazon's reporting threshold).

We're a tiny rescue with 80 supporters. Is this for us?

Especially for you. The Free tier has no contact minimum and no cap — and in-kind giving works at any scale. Your first wishlist item can be live this week.

Does ValuesCart do fundraising events or auctions?

No — and we say so plainly. ValuesCart is built for everyday giving: supplies, donations, and member relationships. If you run ticketed galas or auctions, you can happily use an events platform alongside us.
